Who's Candyce Ossefort-Russell?

I'm a therapist who's driven by a passion for therapy that creates meaning - for both client and therapist.

 

I became a therapist because I made my way through darkness and emerged on the other side - with help from a therapist who went all the way through hell with me.
 
Meaning I have a fiery enthusiasm for mental, emotional, and spiritual health born out of my own travels through traumatic loss and my own therapy.
 
I have fierce faith in the therapeutic process. And I'm passionate about helping therapists trust themselves, and about offering tools for enjoying and growing within this work (even when things are hard).
 
Thus, the professional knowledge I bring to you springs from both insatiable study and intense life experience.

Along with life-experience and years of my own therapy, I have decades of geeked-out professional study and fervent practice under my belt.
 
I’ve voraciously lived and studied psychological and spiritual perspectives of suffering and transformation for almost 30 years.
 

As a trainer I can clearly explain the underpinnings and in-depth applications of the theories I teach, even as I model acceptance, warmth, compassion, fearlessness, challenge, and engagement as I teach.

 
I’m so dedicated to high-quality therapy and to excellent therapist training that I continually strive to expand and sharpen my skills—personally and professionally.
